solutions by stc, the Kingdom’s and the region’s leading enabler of digital transformation, has released its sustainability report for 2023, highlighting its key achievements in charting a sustainable future that upgrades the quality of life and promotes environmental preservation. Reflecting the company’s significant strides in pursuing the path of sustainability, the annual report aligns with globally recognized standards like the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as national agendas such as Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Data and AI Strategy.
The year 2023 was witness to groundbreaking changes on the sustainability front for the company, starting with the launch of the three-year (GROW) sustainability strategy to accelerate the Kingdom’s digitalization drive and empower communities with greener technologies. In addition, a dedicated Sustainability Management Committee was formed to formulate sustainability goals besides tracking progress and alignment with business objectives.
A fundamental pillar in the company’s mission, the sustainability strategy was pivotal in establishing major partnerships with entities from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to arm them with innovative tools and tricks to safeguard business sustainability and protect the environment and society in equal measure. This approach was further instrumental in strengthening the company’s corporate governance, upskilling and training employees, and overhauling internal processes, milestones that earned solutions accolades and recognitions from across the board, including the Best Corporate Governance Award in the Middle East region in the IT Services sector by Ethical Boardroom.
Apart from aligning with the National Data and AI Strategy’s objectives to boost sustainable practices across various sectors, solutions was also successful in partnering with the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) to develop sustainable agri-tech solutions for the Kingdom. It equally contributed to bolstering the nation’s data security capabilities by empowering 30 organizations with the necessary knowhow through dedicated workshops organized in collaboration with King Khalid Foundation. Other achievements include the launch of smart digital solutions for people with disabilities to enhance their quality of life, as well as inking three strategic partnerships to enable digital transformation in the healthcare sector.
