solutions by stc is participating in the “Recycle Your Device” initiative by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) by activating the initiative internally and enabling its employees and subsidiaries to participate, contributing to the promotion of sustainable practices, more efficient use of resources, and social responsibility.
The initiative encourages employees of solutions by stc and its subsidiaries to hand over their unused personal electronic devices for safe and responsible handling. Accepted devices include mobile phones, tablets, desktop and laptop computers, printers, modems, and landline phones.
The initiative provides participants with two pathways for handling devices. Devices eligible for reuse are repaired, their data is securely and completely erased, and they are then donated to families in need through nonprofit organizations. Devices designated for recycling are securely dismantled and converted into reusable raw materials, with the proceeds directed toward charitable causes.
The initiative contributes to reducing electronic waste and its associated carbon emissions, while extending the operational life of eligible devices, maximizing resource utilization, and supporting circular economy practices.
